Become a Hay Festival Benefactor
Our Benefactors programme is designed to get you closer to all the experiences that Hay Festival Global offers and for those who want to make a longer term commitment to support us. As a Benefactor your investment will ensure you can access exclusive benefits for up to 5 years and we can plan ahead to ensure that our charitable work will benefit the readers and writers of the future.
As a Benefactor you will receive all of the benefits of joint membership (for two people), plus:
- A three-month subscription to Hay Festival Book Club
- A signed copy (wherever possible) of the Hay Festival Book of the Year
- Monthly newsletters with previews into upcoming Hay Festival events
- Your name will be printed in the Hay-on-Wye Festival programmes, and displayed on the supporter page of the website and on screens situated on the Hay-on-Wye Festival site
- Reserved seating in the Hay-on-Wye Festival venues, where possible
- Access for you and a guest to the Patrons and Benefactors Hub - a private area at the Hay-on-Wye Festival for supporters to relax between events, with a concierge desk service and cloakroom facilities
- Access for you and one guest to the Artists' Restaurant to mix with Festival artists and speakers (food and beverages to be paid on account separately)
- Invitations to special receptions and parties at each Festival for you and a guest
- Complimentary daily pass to the official Festival car park
- Complimentary tickets to all our Festivals around the world*
- Advice about travel and accommodation and a ‘director's cut’ of each programme (on request) to ensure your international experiences are always exceptional.
The membership is for five years and two people. The cost of becoming a Benefactor is £10,000 for five years (or £2,500 per annum).

Gift Aid Declaration
To support the Foundation, you may wish to Gift Aid any donation made today or in the future, and any donation you may have made in the past four years to Hay Festival Foundation. A minimum payment of £1,000 per annum secures all benefits* (whether you pay annually or as a one-off payment) and you may purchase these benefits separately without making any further donation. The balance of £1,500 is a suggested donation to Hay Festival Foundation and Gift Aid can be claimed on this amount to support the Foundation’s programmes.
