According to acclaimed British architect Norman Foster the second highest building in London ‘is rooted in a radical, technical, architectural, social and spatial approach’. Leading global reinsurer Swiss Re wanted its headquarters to be an iconic symbol in both London and Europe, and Norman Foster proved he could design such a building. A long-term study, from the planning process until the inauguration in 2004.
