Leontxo García (Spain) is a journalist specializing in chess since 1983, and has been writing for El País since 1985, trainer in educational chess and speaker on the educational, social and therapeutic applications of chess (with regard to brain aging and Alzheimer’s), as well as about the history of the game and its champions (he has met every world champion since Botvinnik). He is also a Member for Educational Chess of the International Chess Federation. He and the chess player Julio Ernesto Granda (Camaná, Arequipa), the first Peruvian International Grandmaster, Child World Champion and four times Panamerican Champion, will talk to Felipe Ortiz de Zevallos, founder of APOYO and a great fan of the game.
