Andrea Ortiz de Zevallos (Lima, 1978) studied philosophy and is the author of the books La mudanza imposible (Random House, 2018) and Madre de Dios (Tusquets, 2024). She is the director of the NGO Despensa Amazónica, where she works on production and research projects that seek to unite the inputs and culture of Amazonian communities with professional gastronomy. After living for several years in Guatemala, she returned in 2020 to settle again in Lima.
