Ingrid Bejerman

Between Languages, Cultures and Territories: Journalism and Multicultural Literary Management in Ibero-America and Canada

(Argentina/Brazil/Canada/Spain, 1974) Ingrid Bejerman is a journalist, scholar and cultural manager specializing in cultural reportage, Latin American matters and journalism training. She served as reporter and columnist for the leading São Paulo daily O Estado de S. Paulo in Brazil, as programme coordinator for the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for Journalism (FNPI) in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, and as director of the Cátedra Latinoamericana Julio Cortázar at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Since 2022 she has been a member of the programming committee of Blue Metropolis, the Montreal International Literary Festival, where she curates events in Spanish and Portuguese. Ingrid holds a PhD in Communication Studies from McGill University and teaches journalistic research, theory and practice at Concordia, both universities in Montreal, Canada.
