Joumana Haddad is one of the greatest literary voices in present day Middle East. This Lebanese writer, publisher and journalist is also the author ofI Killed Scheherazade, defined by Mario Vargas Llosa as “a revealing and audacious book about women in the Arab world”. She will talk with Egyptian writer Khaled al-Berry, who currently works in London as a journalist for the BBC. Al-Berry has published several novels, among them Confessions of a Crazyman of Allah an autobiography of his teenage years as a member of the jihad.
