Family Films: Aardman Animations (U)

A selection of classic Aardman Animations starring the inimitable Wallace & Gromit!

A Sunday morning of Wallace & Gromit, a joy for all the family from 6 to 60 by the Bristol-based Aardman Animations, world famous for their endearing old-fashioned characters. We have four shorts, each following a similar plot line; an exciting adventure where Wallace gets into trouble and Gromit saves him from his folly.

A Matter of Loaf and Death (U) 
Director: Nick Park UK 2008. 30 minutes 
Wallace & Gromit open a bakery and get involved in a murder mystery. Shot as a classic film noir complete with a femme fatale. 

A Close Shave (U) 
Director: Nick Park UK 1995. 30 minutes 
Wallace falls for Wendolene, a wool shop owner, and Gromit gets framed for sheep rustling. Another nail biting adventure for the resourceful pair. 

The Wrong Trousers (U) 
Director: Nick Park UK 1993. 30 minutes 
Wallace invents a pair of mechanical remote controlled trousers. A criminal penguin uses them in a robbery but Gromit, as usual, comes to the rescue. 

A Grand Day Out (U) 
Director: Nick Park UK 1990. 23 minutes 
Wallace & Gromit take their holidays on the moon, cheese collecting.
