Father Richard: Silent Film with Live Organ

Metropolis

Venue: St Mary’s Church
Gifted organist and composer Father Richard Williams, former vicar of St Mary’s Church in Hay, performs a stunning live accompaniment to Fritz Lang’s classic 1927 silent film Metropolis, playing the outstanding Bevington organ. Metropolis is an early science fiction film which presents a highly stylised futuristic city where a cultured Utopian society exists above a bleak underworld populated by mistreated workers.
This event includes an interval. Interval drinks may be purchased from the bar inside St Mary’s Church
