The INSTITUT FRANCAIS DU ROYAUME-UNI is part of the Institut français worldwide network promoting French language and culture and encouraging cross-cultural exchange and cultural diversity. Founded in 1910 in London, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni comprises a language centre, a cinema, a multi-media library, a children’s library and a café-restaurant, and welcomes 200,000 people each year. The Book Department is dedicated to the promotion of French books in the United Kingdom. We organise public events in connection with recent French publications and debates, and we support French authors coming to the UK to participate in literature festivals.
