Untold Microcosms: Latin American Writers in the British Museum is an anthology of tales, a joint project involving the British Museum and Hay Festival, which explores 10,000 years of American history. A group of writers examines narratives on the past through the never-before-seen collection of Latin American objects in the British Museum. Three of these writers, Gabriela Cabezón Cámara (Argentina), author of Las aventuras de la China Iron (2017); Velia Vidal (Colombia), author of Aguas de estuario (2020); and Joseph Zárate (Peru), author of Algo nuestro sobre la tierra (2021), will talk to the visual artist Nereida Apaza Mamani about the anthology published by Anagrama, which mixes rigorous investigation and fiction in order to help us better understand our history and to try to fill in the blanks that the historical record has left us.
