The former speaker of Judges for Democracy, Joaquim Bosch, and the publisher of eldiario.es, Ignacio Escolar, have teamed up to denounce that the judicial system’s crisis, which has a deep impact on democracy. Their joint publication The Abduction of Justice is as necessary a read as it is incisive and informative on the justice system in Spain. On the one hand, the book praises the broad base of stalwart magistrates who have identified political and corporate abuses and elevated cases to higher tribunals. However, Bosch and Escolar criticise those at the very top who have allowed themselves to be tainted by the unprecedented volume of high profile political meddling which has been particularly dangerous in cases involving corruption. The authors talk with the publisher of Roca Editorial, Blanca Rosa Roca.
