Jay Bernard explores the concepts of gender and identity through their work as artist, poet and performer, and reflects this by using gender-neutral pronouns when referring to their work.
Considered to be one of the most outstanding voices among emerging British contemporary artists, Bernard visits Spain for the first time with a spoken word performance of their poetry. Having presented their works in such emblematic venues as Buckingham Palace, the British Library or the Royal Shakespeare Company on this occasion Bernard will take the stage at Segovia’s former jail to present their vision on gender, sexuality and diversity from multi-disciplinary, critical and queer perspective.
