Event 46

Zlata Filipović

 – Presbyterian Church

It’s 1991 and a young Bosnian girl begins a diary offering a personal account of her native city, Sarajevo, under murderous siege. The diary continues for two harrowing years and results in the young girl being dubbed ‘The Anne Frank of Sarajevo’. Happily she does not share the same fate as the tragic young Anne Frank. Twenty-five years later, and now living in Dublin, Zlata Filipović recalls the writing of the international bestseller Zlata’s Diary.
