Maura McHugh
– Iona Hall / Carmel Naughton Stage
Galway-based Maura was born in the USA but was an ‘early adopter’ of Ireland as a home. Her short stories have been published in the USA and Europe, and she’s written for the stage and screen. She also writes comic books including Roisin Dubh and Jennifer Wilde, and has co-written the mini-series Witchfinder for Dark Horse Comics. She’ll be discussing The Illuminated Word: Writing for visual media.
