Raquel Franco was born in 1974 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A graduate in Literature, with a Master’s in Publishing and a postgraduate degree in Culture and Communication. From the age of 18 she has been coordinating and managing publishing projects. Between 2004 and 2008 she was Coordinator of Publications at the Argentinean Ministry of Education. In 2015 she became a Culture Advisor to the city of Villa María in Argentina. However, her main activity has also been her work with the Pequeño Editor publishing house, which she has managed since 2012. Pequeño Editor is a content producer whose target is children: books, audio-visual projects and activities that promote access to written culture. She has two children and has a profound interest in the development of reading promotion policies for early childhood and their link to public policies dealing with human development, education and culture.
