Sean Cranbury (Canada) is a cultural manager and literary programmer living and working in the city of Vancouver, located on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Skwxwu7mesh, and səl̓ilwəta peoples. Sean is the Executive Director of the BC and Yukon Book Prizes, one of the premier literary arts organizations on Canada's west coast. He manages the adjudication and presentation of awards for literary excellence across 10 categories including fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and children's literature. He also programs the annual tour of authors to remote areas and small towns in the northern province and territory. Sean is the Founder and President of the Real Vancouver Writers' Series, a quarterly literary reading series, featuring diverse writers, emerging and established. In his work, Sean focuses on using technology and innovative techniques to build and sustain communities of writers, readers, publishers. His collaborations with important cultural organizations like the Canada Council for Arts, British Columbia Arts Council, Access Copyright Foundation, and many others provides a strong foundation for future growth for writers on Canada's west coast.
