Maribel ABELLO

Maribel Abello was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. In 1986 she began to work as a television, theatre and film actor. A Social Communication graduate from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, as a cultural journalist she covered popular Colombian festivities in the "La Abello de Fiesta" section of the national news for Caracol Televisión. In 2020 she published her first non-fiction book: Hasta Ahora Te Creo: Más de un Siglo de Mujeres, Inmigración y Amor with Penguin Random House. She currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States.
