Alex Huerta obtained his Master’s and PhD degrees in Anthropology plus a diploma in Culture and Media studies from New York University. He studied Anthropology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru where he currently works as a professor and directs the “Sherezade Project” which is designed to produce and disseminate micro-documentary films online. He is also coordinator of the Medical Anthropology and Intercultural Health Group. He has published Imagen que nos mira: Vedettes peruanas convocando significados sociales (2012).
