(Mexico, 1958) Publisher, writer and essayist. He is the Managing Director of the Biblioteca Vasconcelos. He was responsible for creating this publishing project for children for the Mexican Fondo de Cultura Económica. In 2006 he coordinated the publishing of the studies collated, and later published, by Conaculta, in the group that created the national survey on reading. He participates actively at conferences and seminars for publishers, librarians and teachers, offering a provocative contribution about the importance of reading and literature throughout history and in the contemporary world.
