Alonso RABÍ

Journalist, teacher and writer. He studied literature at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and completed postgraduate studies in Latin American Literature in the 20th and 21st Centuries at the University of Colorado (Boulder, USA). He is the author of the collections of poems Concierto en el subterráneo (1992), Quieto vaho sobre el espejo (1994) and En un purísimo ramaje de vacíos (2000). He has also published a collection of literary chronicles entitled Archivo de recortes (2018), Universo MVLL (2019), an illustrated guide to places and characters in the work of Mario Vargas Llosa, and in 2020 he edited, for the University of Lima, the volume El texto literario. Aportes para su estudio. He recently published the expanded edition of Animales literarios (2008, 2016 and 2017), renamed Antiguos y nuevos animales literarios, which brings together 48 interviews with writers from different parts of the world. He has been a journalist since 1989 and was editor of El Dominical, of the newspaper El Comercio, as well as host of the programmes Entre Libros (2017) and Presencia Cultural (2018-2020), both broadcast by TVPerú. He currently teaches Language and Literature at the University of Lima and hosts the cultural magazine Cinema de los Sentidos, on the airwaves of Red de Comunicación Regional.
