(Cusco, Peru, 1944) This actor, considered to be one of the country’s finest, learned his art in the theatre, where he has played many different roles. However it is in film, with Túpac Amaru (1984), where he has made his name. He has acted in more than 15 films, including the recent Gloria del Pacífico (2014), in which he plays Vicente, a soldier who has survived a foreign invasion of his native land; Perro guardián (2014); and Al filo de la Ley (2015). He has also played roles for television, ranging from the soap opera Simplemente María (1969) to Somos Family (2015).
