(Guatemala, 1956) Director and founder of F&G Editores, one of Central America’s most prestigious publishing houses and the only in the region that belongs to the International Alliance of Independent Publishers. Chairman of Guatemala’s Publishing Association and the Guatemala International Book Fair, as well as founder and chairman of the Central American Independent Publishers’ Group. As a publisher, he has worked with a number of national and international organizations, including: Flacso, Costa Rica; Instituto de Relaciones Europeo-Latinoamericanas, Madrid; International Red Cross, United Nations Development Programme, Guatemala; Organismo Internacional Regional de Sanidad Agropecuaria, San Salvador; and the Consejo Superior Universitario Centroamericano, Guatemala. He is the author of two special editions of Guatemala’s Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure, which have been through 7 and 16 editions respectively and which are indispensable for lawyers and Law students. In 2015 he was selected by ContraPoder magazine as one of the 100 most influential Guatemalans.
