(United Kingdom, 1962) Kirsty Lang presents Front Row, BBC Radio 4’s flagship arts programme. She also works for the British Council, which promotes British art and culture around the world. Lang has been a journalist for 25 years, working as East European correspondent for the BBC and in Paris for The Sunday Times. She has also worked on television news, as a reporter for Newsnight and Channel 4 News. She was chair of the Orange Prize and has been a judge for the Independent Prize for Fiction in Translation. In 2012 she was guest lecturer at the University of Columbia in New York.
