Liniers is the penname of Ricardo Siri (born in Buenos Aires on November 15, 1973). He has published more than 30 books and has designed cover art for Kevin Johansen, Andrés Calamaro, Marcelo Ezquiaga, Cheba Massolo, Lisandro Aristimuño and Kanaku y El Tigre. His work as an illustrator and cartoonist ranges from movie posters and wine labels to covers for the prestigious New Yorker magazine. Originals of his works and paintings have been exhibited in cities such as Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Lima and Madrid. In 2011, together with his wife Angie, he founded the Común publishing company, dedicated to publishing graphic novels by different Argentinean and foreign writers and cartoonists. In 2014 the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires distinguished him as an Outstanding Figure of Culture. In 2018 he won the Will Eisner Award for his book Buenas Noches, Planeta and was presented with the Inkpot Award for his professional career in the comic industry.
