(Veracruz, 1967) Musician, composer and writer. He studied Industrial Design at UAM Azcapotzalco, but he is best known as guitarist and vocalist with the Mexican rock band Café Tacvba, which has won both a Grammy and a Latin Grammy. For over ten years he has been writing a weekly column entitled Crocknicas Marcianas for Excélsior newspaper, and has published a book with the same title (Rhythm & Books, 2011). His book of short stories One Hit Wonder was published in 2015 with Almadía, and was included in the book Cuba Stone (Tusquets, 2017). In 2018 he published his first novel, Los desesperados (Seix Barral).
