Journalist since late 1999, when she became part of the investigative team at Caretas magazine. She was the producer of the program Entrelíneas on channel N and worked as a correspondent for Europa Press, the EFE agency and Terra magazine. She is the author of the book Punche Perú on the lives of land stevedores. In 2021 she received the Courage Award, given by the International Women’s Foundation, and in November 2022 she became the first woman journalist to investigate clerical paedophilia and to have been received by the Pope, the highest authority of the Catholic Church. She is currently a correspondent for Spain’s ABC in Lima, and contributes to the newspaper La República, and the magazines Etiqueta Negra, Etiqueta Verde, and Hola Perú. She is working on a book about disappeared persons and is the general editor of the Nativa television channel in Peru. Look for her on Twitter under the name “Larryportera”.
