Susanne Noltenius (1972) is a Peruvian writer who studied business administration and works in the corporate world. She had a balanced education, at both the University of the Pacific (Lima, Peru) and the School of Creative Writing at the Pontificia Universidad Católica’s Cultural Centre. Her writing allows her to survive jobs in the business world and motherhood, themes that she explores in her work. She has published the short story books Crisis Respiratoria (Estruendomudo 2006) and Tres Mujeres (Animal de Invierno 2015), with which she won the 2017 National Literature Prize in the short story category. She has also published the children's books La Mamá de Clara (Altea 2013), Takiy va a la escuela (Planetalector 2019) and La Osita, el Mono y el Cóndor (Planeta Junior 2020 - a book to raise funds for children with cancer), as well as the novels Tiene que haber otro final (Planeta 2019) and Se hace otoño (Seix Barral, 2024). She has participated as a speaker at literary events in different cities in Peru, as well as at the Bogota and the Santiago de Chile book fairs. During 2017 and 2018 she taught creative writing workshops at the University of the Pacific.
