Pedro Badrán is a writer, journalist and university professor born in the Caribbean Region of Colombia in 1960. He was the winner of the Premio Nacional de Novela Breve (National Short Novel Award) with
El día de la mudanza. He has published, among others, novels such as

La pasión de Policarpa y
El hombre de la cámara mágica, and the story books
Hotel Bellavista y otros cuentos del mar,
Manual de superación personal and
Margarita entre los cerdos. His most recent novel is
Crímenes de provincia, which buries the reader into the shady heart of Colombia.
