Jorge Comensal has published the novels Las mutaciones (2016), Este vacío que hierve (2022) and the long essay Yonquis de las letras (2017). His stories, reports and essays have appeared in anthologies such as La sociedad de científicos anónimos (2018), El hambre heroica (2018), Nuevas instrucciones para vivir en México (2019), Vamos pal perreo (2020), and in magazines including Gatopardo, Tierra Adentro, nexos, The Literary Review and The Paris Review. He has been a recipient of the Foundation for Mexican Literature and the National Fund for Culture and the Arts, as well as a Jan Michalski Foundation and Art Omi resident. He writes an environmental column in El País.
