Bocafloja is an interdisciplinary artist whose work involves elements of music, documentary film, literature and photography as means of creative production and knowledge. Afro-indigenous descendant born in Mexico and resident in the USA for the last 17 years, Bocafloja has positioned himself as one of the most important voices on the Spanish-speaking hip hop scene. He has presented his musical project at festivals, cultural centres, universities and venues in more than 35 countries around the world, having the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Bahamadia, Dead Prez, Brother Ali, The Beatnuts, Dilated Peoples, Sa-Roc, Kool Herc, to name a few. His proposal has been reviewed by the international media on countless occasions, including Afro-Punk, OnceTV, La Jornada, PBS, NPR, BBC, Remezcla, Culture Strike, Jornal do Brasil, Okayafrica and Okayplayer.
