(Medellin, 1963) Colombian writer and reporter. He has published books of short stories including A Larissa no le gustaban los escargots (2009) and El amante fiel de medianoche (2015), and the novels El hombre que murió la víspera (2011) and Limpieza de oficio (2013), among others. He has worked as a reporter, writer and editor at newspapers such as El Tiempo, El Heraldo and El Colombiano, as well as a columnist with Colombia’s La República and Peru’s El Comercio. Ocampo has been awarded with journalism prizes including the Simón Bolívar (1998 and 2005), the CPB (1996) and the Semana-Petrobras (2008). In 2018 he published the novel Es mejor no preguntar.
