Currently a professor of primary education, Kaufman graduated in Humanities from the University of Buenos Aires (1988). An editor, children’s book author, screenwriter and teacher, she has been the recipient of many awards for her work, including the first Literature Prize awarded by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) in Uruguay in 2006, and the third annual National Literature Prize in Argentina in 2011 for her novel
Nadie les discute el trono. In 2002, together with Diego Bianchi she founded the publishing label Pequeño Editor, of which she is literary editor. Several of the books published by the label have been awarded by the ‘Book Bank’ in Venezuela and the Children’s and Young Adult’s Literature Association in Argentina.
