Fernando Guerrero studied philosophy at the Autonomous University of Madrid, before developing his research further in postgraduate studies at the University of Lausauna and at the Hegel Archive in Bochum (Germany). After spending a year as a philosophy professor at UAM, a period in which he began to work in earnest as a translator and freelance editor, he eventually left to become an editor at Akal publishing, which he again left just three years later to found Abada Editores, which he has directed since 2004. With a catalogue of around 400 titles split between two different labels (Abada and Maia), in just over eleven years this publishing house has become a benchmark in Spanish essay publishing, with high quality editions covering a broad range of subjects within the humanities: philosophy architecture, history, history of art, aesthetics, cinema, mythology, as well as classic literary texts. He directs the Publishing Workshop at the SUR-Art School in Madrid.
