Diego FONSECA
(Argentina, 1970). Lives in Washington DC. Journalist and writer since 1989. Specialized reporter in politics and editor in economics and finance. Since 2011, Fonseca is the editor-at-large of the chronicle magazine Etiqueta Negra, and before this, was the general editor for Latin America of the main economics and business magazine AmericaEconomia, as well as editor of MercadoCordoba in Argentina. He has also been part of international media, such as Expansion in Mexico; SoHo in Colombia; Orsai in Argentina and Spain; and BNAmericas in Chile, amongst many others. Creator and director of the chronicle magazine L&S Lúk and supervisor of communication and digital journalism projects in the US, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Peru. In Argentina, Fonseca was the producer of Objetivos and Al fin y al cabo, radio and TV programs distinguished by the Martin Fierro awards. Diego is the creator and co-editor of Sam no es mi tío: veinticuatro crónicas migrantes y un sueño americano (Alfaguara, 2012) and author of some short stories books:
El azar y los héroes, El último comunista de Miami and South
Beach. In 2012 Una larga preparación para nada will be published and in 2013 Diego will edit a collection of profiles about economics and development written by fifteen Latinamerican chronicle writers. Licensed in communication from the National University of Cordoba in Argentina, Fonseca has an MBA in the Business Institute in Madrid and postgraduate studies from Georgetown University. Since 2012, Diego is a visiting professor at FLACSO Ecuador.
