(Mississippi, United States, 1944) Richard Ford has published six novels: A Piece of My Heart, The Ultimate Good Luck, Wildlife and the Frank Bascombe trilogy: The Sportswriter, Independence Day (Pulitzer and PEN/Faulkner Prize) and The Lay of the Land; three books of short -and long- stories: Rock Springs, Women with Men and Multitude of Sins; and the short memoire My Mother, in Memory. His body of work gives him a place among the best US writers of his generation. His latest publications are Between Them: Remembering My Parents (2017) and Sorry for your trouble (2019).
