JUAN CRUZ is a Spanish journalist and writer and a deputy director of leading Spanish daily El País, of which he was a founding journalist. He has published more than twenty books, among them Crónica de la nada hecha pedazos (1972), which earned him the Benito Pérez Armas Award, Award, as well as El sueño de Oslo (1988), which won the Azorín Prize. He won Spain’s National Prize for Cultural Journalism in 2012. He combines his professional work with an intense schedule of media and conference activities.
