(Colombia) Editor of the newspaper El Tiempo, Pombo studied Law at the Universidad de Los Andes and began his journalistic career more than thirty years ago. He began in the trade in 1979 as a writer of the magazine Alternativa and since then has worked as a reporter for El Heraldo in Barranquilla, writer-in-chief for the Diario del Caribe in the same city, reporter and political editor of El Tiempo, director of the Noticiero TV Hoy and of Viva FM for Caracol Radio, director and columnist for the newspaper Semana, editor and columnist of the magazine Cambio and editing director of this publication in Mexico for three years. He has won a number of journalism prizes, such as the Simón Bolívar and CPB in Colombia and the Ortega y Gasset Prize, awarded by El País.
