(Santa Rosa de Osos, Colombia, 1947) This writer and poet has a degree in Law and Economics from the University of Bogota. He is one of the finest Colombian poets of the second half of the 20th century. He won the National Poetry Prize in 1978 and was nominated for the Rómulo Gallegos Prize in 2003. His latest published works include: Historia de una pasión (2006), La voz interior (2006), Cuadernos de Música (2008), Memorias de un hombre feliz (2010), Historia de Simona (2010) y Poesía en la canción popular latinoamericana (2009).
