He has published three novels: El capítulo de Fernelli (1992) and Si los sueños me llevaran hacia ella (1999); two books of poems that were awarded the Nacional Prize for Poetry of the Ministry of Culture: Imágenes de un viaje (1993) and Para un fantasma lejano (1998); two books of essays: Lo viejo es nuevo y lo nuevo es viejo and Todo el jazz de New Orleans es bueno (1992) and Del realismo mágico al realismo trágico (2005); a children’s tale: El amor de una jirafa (2004); an anthology of cinema quotes: El evangelio según Hollywood (2005), and the biography Alfred Hitchcock.
