She holds a degree in Performing Arts with a specialism in theatre from the University of Caldas and a Master's degree in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of the North. She has experience in the artistic, educational and research fields. She participated as an actor-singer and Assistant Director in the Opera Workshop at the University of Calda, while working with the Ícono Teatro collective at several theatre festivals. In the field of education, she currently works as a Theatre teacher at the IED Fundación Pies Descalzos. In terms of research, which also touches on her work in the artistic and educational spheres, she began working on the Hilando Capacidades para las Transiciones en los Territorios project of the Colombia Científica programme, in the municipality of Ovejas, Sucre. During this time, she has been able to recognize and identify the different mediation processes and peace experiences in the territory through Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Action Creation Research (ACR), permitting a recognition of community artistic potential.
