Lusdary Martínez Castillo has a degree in Humanities and Spanish Language from the University of the Atlantic and is a student of the Master's degree in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of the North with a Ramón Illán Bacca Scholarship. She has participated in poetry recitals and contributed to publications of short stories and poems. She also has published book reviews on Latin American authors. In 2023 she was the winner of third place in the Scholarship category in the Heriberto Fiorillo Award for the creation and publication of written works of cultural journalism, with the text Después de la rueda: Un ritual que lava el dolor. In 2024 she came first in the same award with a work of non-fiction entitled El Pibe Castillo, la voz que canta en el olvido.
