Txell Feixas Torras has been working in journalism for over twenty years, focusing in the last decade on the Middle East, a region where she has worked as a correspondent, based in Beirut, for the Catalan public media (3Cat Group). Her coverage includes the war in Syria, the conflict in Iraq, the fall of the Islamic State, the Great March of Return in Gaza, the return of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan and the earthquakes in Turkey. In 2021, Feixas Torras debuted with her first book Dones valentes, translated into Spanish and Italian. In 2023, she returned with Aliades. Les nenes de Xatila desafien les regles del joc. That same year she received the Catalan National Journalism and Media Prize, awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya and Barcelona City Council’s Montserrat Roig Jury Prize, among others. These awards highlight her rigorous, humane and determined journalism, which gives visibility to women in conflict zones.
