Biologist from the University of the Andes, with a master's degree in Biodiversity from the University of Barcelona. Passionate about birds and animals in general, after having traveled and worked for a couple of years in the Colombian Amazon rainforest, he has dedicated most of his life to education. He currently runs the Colegio Unidad Pedagógica, in Bogotá. Author of several books for children, some of which have won international awards. Among his titles are Planeta Tierra Planeta Vida and his most recent publication, Guía Secreta de Aves. He mainly dedicates his free time to taking care of his plants, taking nature photographs and watching good movies and lots of football. When he can, he enjoys traveling around the world to discover new landscapes and cultures.
