is a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Labor. In his capacity as a senior trial attorney, John litigates cases against employers charged with violating statutes ranging from OSHA, to the FLSA, to EBSA and more. John also practices in the H-visa space, protecting foreign workers from employers engaged in wage theft, fraud, and even violence.
However, and perhaps more importantly, John is the moderator for the Wild Detectives Book Club, which has met monthly since 2016. The TWD Book Club has discussed books by many of the authors at this year’s Hay Festival, including Mariana Enriquez, Mircea Cartarescu, Dolores Reyes, Douglas Stuart, and yes, Viet Thanh Nguyen
