Sean COTTER

cotter-sean is a professor of literature and translation studies at the University of Texas at Dallas, with a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Michigan. Specializing in translation studies, modernism, and Romanian literature, he is the acclaimed translator of Mircea Cărtărescu’s Solenoid, which has won numerous awards, including the Dublin Literary Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction. Cotter’s translations have earned him prestigious honors such as the Best Translated Book Award for Poetry and multiple grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. His work continues to shape the field of literary translation.
