Christophe TALMONT

talmont-christophe The French conductor Christophe Talmont is the founder and first Musical Director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Universidad de Los Andes in Merida and Musical Director of the Mérida State Symphony Orchestra. Recognized for his eclecticism and his passion for transmitting his experience to the younger generation, he has promoted new repertoires and premiered French and European works from the lyrical, symphonic and symphonic-choral repertoire. He has conducted numerous orchestras in France, Germany and Venezuela, where he resided from 2012 to 2019, covering works from the Baroque to the 21st century. He is also a choirmaster, clarinettist and educator, and for more than a decade he has combined his artistic activity with teaching.
