Karima Ziali Itahriouan was born in Beni Sidel (Morocco) in 1986. As a child, she moved with her family to Catalonia. She has lived with the Riffian, Catalan and Spanish languages from a very early age. Graduate in Philosophy from Barcelona University, she moved to Valencia where she obtained a Master's Degree in Teacher Training from the UV. Involved in various professional projects, she has lived in different parts of Spain. She has worked as a Philosophy educator in formal education. After completing a Master's Degree in Anthropological Research and its Applications through the UNED, she moved to Granada where she is currently pursuing a PhD with the Migration Studies programme at the UGR and is part of the research team at the Migration Institute of the University of Granada. Her field of research focuses on sexuality and filial relationships among young people from Muslim backgrounds living in Spain. In addition, she regularly contributes to various Spanish media outlets, including the magazine Contextos. She has participated in a range of events related to literature and her academic work. In 2023 she published her first novel, Una oración sin Dios (Esdrújula).
