(Chiapas, Mexico, 1985) is a Tsotsil writer, researcher and literary critic. He has a doctorate in Social and Humanistic Sciences from CESMECA/UNICACH and a Master's degree in Contemporary Hispanic American Literature from the Universidad Austral de Chile. He has published the novel La ira de los murciélagos (2021) and the book of short stories Los hijos errantes (2014; 2023); is co-author of the poetry books Ts’unun. Los sueños del colibrí (2017) and Luna Ardiente (2009); and has appeared in anthologies including the trilingual Chiapas maya awakening (2017), El cuento en Chiapas (1913-2015) (2017), I Antología de narrativa chiapaneca (2017) and Silencio sin frontera (2011). He coordinated the collective publication Yayijemal ts’ibetik / Cuentos con cicatrices (2023). He has written articles for the supplements Ojarasca (La Jornada) and Confabulario (El universal), as well as the Revista de Crítica Literaria Latinoamericana, Tierra Adentro, Documentos Lingüísticos y Literarios, Punto de Partida (UNAM) and Diáspora. He teaches narrative workshops in Tsotsil and on the Literary Creation diploma at the Xavier Villaurrutia Centre, INBAL. He was a fellow of PECDA Chiapas (2016) and FONCA’s Young Artists programme (2010-2011 and 2017-2018). He is a member of the National Network of Artists and winner of the 2023 Nezahualcóyotl Prize for Literature in Mexican Languages.
