Gemma Ruiz Palà (Sabadell, 1975) is a journalist and writer. She has worked at Televisión de Catalunya as a cultural reporter, head writer and deputy news editor. In 2016 she published Argelagues, which became a literary phenomenon. Four years later, the novel Ca la Wenling consolidated her reputation among readers. She received the 62nd Sant Jordi Novel Prize for Les nostres mares. Her work has been translated into English, Spanish, French and Italian.
