Xabier Díaz de Cerio (Pamplona, 1972) is a journalist who has lived in Lima since 1999, when he arrived to take charge of the infographic section of the newspaper El Comercio. In 2004 he founded Fábrica de Ideas, a visual journalism and strategic communication studio that, over time, has specialized in environmental and sustainability outreach projects. He has directed, among other publications, Ecohéroes, la ruta verde de los peruanos del mañana (2013), Yachaykusun (2014), Lecciones de la Tierra (2015), Yachay Ruwanapaq (2016) and Altitud, el renacer de los Andes (2017). The project Arpilleras de la Agrobiodiversidad received an honourable mention at the Ibero-American Design Biennial (BID-2016) and El libro de los Elementos, historias de un territorio y el saber de sus pueblos, received the Antonio Brack Egg National Environmental Award in 2022 in the category of Environmental Knowledge, with a special mention for Environmental Journalism.
